HOW DO I FILL UP using half price fuel?

LPG pumps are pretty much the same as petrol pumps. All LPG stations follow pretty much the same way of doing things. Most LPG pumps have a diagram on the pump just to reassure you that you are doing it correctly. Its very similar to filling up with petrol, attach a nozzle to the vehicle, secure the trigger, press the black button on the fuel pump to deliver. The gas will stop automatically when full. Remove nozzle and pay. Its impossible to fill up with the wrong fuel.

LPG AUTOGAS: WHERE CAN I REFUEL?

LPG is widely available in the UK, currently there are over 1,300 refuelling stations.

Major fuel retailers such as Morrisons & Asda sell LPG at their larger outlets.

If you have a Sat Nav system you can download the files enabling you to find a station at the touch of a button.

We include a booklet which shows you the location on paper.

IS LPG SAFE?

Yes. LPG has an excellent safety record as the fuel tank is much stronger than conventional ones, and has been proven to maintain its integrirty in botfire & crash tests. The tank is recognised as safer than petrol as it can withstand a far greater impact. The tanks and gas pipes are fitted with numerous safety devices. The gas flow will automatically be shut off if any pipes are ruptured.

WHAT HAPPENS IF I RUN OUT OF LPG?

The system installed has a LPG guage which shows you the amount of gas you have in the tank. The guage is mounted on the dashboard and has a series of lights. When the last remaining light turns to red you have about 50 miles of gas left. So its time to locate a refilling station. A full tank of LPG costing £25 will allow you to travel 230 miles.

DO I HAVE TO USE THE LPG SYSTEM?

No. The campervan still has its original system intact. Which means that at the flick of a switch you can run on petrol. So you could if you wanted run your entire holiday on petrol.

WHY USE LPG?

LPG is a low carbon fuel making it better for the environment. It produces:

75% less CO2 emmisions

40% less NOx and has

87% less ozone forming potential than petrol.
